Client portfolio monitoring, measured in exposure and drift

Every client portfolio is broken down by sector, region, currency and instrument, and compared with the allocation you agreed. When something in the market moves, the question «who does this concern, and by how much» already has an answer.

What is monitored

  • By sector

How much of a portfolio sits in energy, banks, technology — the share that decides whether a sector story is a phone call or a note.

  • By region

Where the money actually is, including through funds and instruments held indirectly.

  • By currency

The exposure that moves without any position changing, and is the easiest to forget.

  • By instrument

Equities, bonds, funds, deposits: the composition, compared with the target allocation agreed with the client.

Exposure is not only the position you can see. A client holding a global fund has energy exposure without owning a single energy stock; the calculation follows the instrument through to what it actually contains, and says so.

Thresholds, so alerts stay rare

You set how much exposure deserves attention. A story that touches 3% of a portfolio is not an event; the same story on 34% is the first call of the day. Alerts fire above the threshold and stay quiet below it, and the morning brief states plainly how many clients were checked and needed nothing.

Drift against the agreed allocation is monitored the same way: not a monthly report you have to open, but a difference that surfaces when it grows past what you decided to tolerate.

For a firm, not just one desk

Clients, portfolios and thresholds belong to the firm: colleagues working on the same clients see the same picture, with the same history behind it. Access is granted per firm, one at a time.

Client data does not leave the boundary: what reaches the model is the situation in percentages, never a name and never an amount.

What it is not

It is not a custody or order management system, and it does not replace your portfolio management software: it answers the question that software does not — which clients a piece of news concerns, and what to tell them. No recommendations, no trading signals.
